This year we decided to skip our Farr West parade and celebration and head to West Weber to celebrate with my siblings and their families. West Weber was very low key and not very crowded....which I loved! They served free breakfast and the parade was just the kids. There were about 20 kids who decorated their bikes and did a little bike parade. My nephew Ethan and one other boy who were determined to win, missed the route and ended up taking everyone on a little detour. They all ended up back at the finish though and thought it was great. The kids then gathered in the park to get ready for the canon launch, which shoots out candy and water balloons. They each had their own bag and ran frantically to gather as much candy as possible. What kid doesn't love a bunch of candy practically being thrown at them....the kids thought it was great! We then took the kids to see Cars 2 at the theater and headed back to the house to relax before we had to head out again.
Later in the day Aaron's family all got together for a BBQ, swimming, games, and fireworks. Our niece's baptism was on the 3rd so all of Aaron's family was all in town. It's not very often that everyone is together so the cousins were having a great time and it was nice to spend time with those who live out of town. Here's the pictures of our fun filled afternoon. Both Grandma's got out the jump rope and what started with the little kids having fun turned into everyone having fun. It ended up being a game.
