Here is how our Lake Powell trip began:
We had just recently gotten our boat and Kennady had mentioned she wanted to learn how to ski. Aaron got onto the ksl ads to look for some used ones and found an ad that was looking for another family to join them on their house boat in Lake Powell. Aaron asked how crazy I was and if I would consider going. The ad seemed liked they were a really nice LDS family so Aaron happened to call them and find out a little more information and if it would be a family we would like to meet. Long story short we ended up driving to Saratoga Springs to meet up with this family. They were really nice and they had 3 kids who happened to be right around the same age as ours. We ended up having a good feeling about going so we made the trip happen. The kids were more than anxious to go!
Here are a ton of pictures of the best week long vacation we have had in a long time.
The kids had a great time playing on the beach. We made a slide to go into the lake, they built castles and dams, a shark, and just had fun splashing and playing around.
Wyatt didn't want anything to do with going off the slide but once Aaron took him down, that was his favorite thing to do the rest of the trip.
They even had fun dancing to music on the back of the boat. (Wyatt, Annalese, Emma, and Kyla)
Knee boarding/Wake boarding
LOGAN: Our goal this trip was to get Logan up on the wake board and feeling comfortable on it. We started him off on the beach so Aaron could be there to help him. It only took him a few tries to get the hang of it and that was all he needed for the rest of the trip. He did knee boarding as well but his favorite was wake boarding. By the end of the trip he was jumping the wake and bending down to feel the water with his hands. I loved watching him! I think he found a new passion.
KENNADY: I am more than amazed with Kennady. She said she wanted to try to wake board and I thought it would be way to hard for her and that there was no way she could do it. She proved me wrong! Aaron started her on the beach as well and she happened to get up on her first try. She had a few hard times getting up here and there but she was loving it. She even liked the knee board as well. We happened to pass a houseboat that was near by that was all guys on it and as we passed them with her wake boarding they all started clapping and whistling for her. She got a huge grin on her face.....it was so cute!
WYATT: There was no chance of him wanting to even try. Aaron practiced pulling him on the beach but that was good enough for him.

I love this picture and it even makes me teary eyed for some reason. I am just so glad that Aaron loves to spend time with the kids and make every experience the best for them.
Kennady and Logan tried double wake boarding as well. Kennady wasn't used to the different speed of the boat to get Logan up but she was able to get up once and wake board for a little bit with him.

Wyatt hung out on the easy ski near the boat. That was good enough for him!
The kids couldn't get enough of the tube as well. Wyatt had a bad experience on the tube before we came to Lake Powell so I hopped on the tube so they would have to go super slow with us. He had fun but he didn't want to do it again.
Logan happened to be on the tube by himself and he caught some air underneath it and he ended up flying on it than riding it. By the look on his face he was surprised to still be on the tube. It was funny! Aaron then needed his turn!
Gotta love the hat Aaron bought for me at the marina. He was a little worried I would roast to death so he thought it would help, which it actually did. I felt like an old grandma in it though!

Logan loves adventure and enjoyed jumping off tall rocks and cliffs with Aaron. Wyatt & Kennady even had there fun jumping off to.
One of the days we took the boats back into where a waterfall used to be. We went on a short hike and the kids loved catching little frogs along the way.
Umpa Lumpa! I am definitely starting weight watchers after this pregnancy.....yikes!
The last day before the trip was over we took just our family for a little boat ride to do some last minute exploring. We found a ravene where it was really quit and we just hung out there for a bit. It was some good quality family time and made a good end to our trip. The kids had fun all taking their turn driving the boat as well.
