Today was Sydnee's 2 week follow up appt. She weighed in at 8lbs. 2oz. and was 21in long. She is passed her birth weight and everything looked and sounded great. The doctor visit went well until the prick of the heel. She screamed and screamed and screamed!!!! It probably didn't help that the nurse couldn't get enough blood so she had to squeeze her leg and foot for quite awhile to fill the PKU card. Here are a few pictures at her first doctor visit.
Look at this hair! I had a hat on her and when I took it off, the hair was a staticy mess. She looks thrilled.....I guess she was a little wiped out from all the screaming earlier.

Day 4
It has been 4 days since Sydnee was born and I am loving being able to just sit and hold her. It has been so long I have forgotten how precious they are. We are feeling like we are somewhat adjusted to the new eating, sleeping, and everyday schedule. She is a big eater and loves to be held, which is probably my fault. Kennady wanted to wash her hair so we got this cute picture of her after having a head bath.

Our new bundle of Joy!!!!!!
Our little girl has finally arrived!
SYDNEE LAREE STEWART
BORN: Sunday January 15, 2012
TIME: 9:29 pm
WEIGHT: 7lbs 12oz and 20 inches long
The delivery day:
(I wanted to remember some details so you can skip to the pics- their might be a little to much information)
We arrived at the hospital at 7:00am
Water broke at 1:00pm
I was sick and throwing up every time they would have me lay on my left side
I was literally shaking after I was at a 8- never had that happen before with the other deliveries
Epidural didn't work so felt the whole delivery (worst pain I have ever been in) Everyone in the waiting room heard me screaming and caught me saying a small swear word. I'm a little embarrassed but holy crap did it hurt!!!!!
Had complications with the placenta. It was attached to my Uterus so the doctor had to un-sew me, and go get it out, then sew me back up.
Then after I thought all the torturing was done my nurse gave me the wrong medication. She gave me meds for high blood pressure so I got really sick and felt like everything around me was foggy and that I was floating. They had to push 3-4 other meds through me to counteract the blood pressure medicine, which made me more sick.
My mom and Aaron's mom was in the waiting room (with high blood pressures themselves :) It was quite the scare but I am glad that it wasn't worse than what it was.
My sweet sister-in-law has been doing photography and had mentioned that she was willing to be in the delivery room to capture the entire day for us. At first I wasn't quite sure if I was going to be comfortable with her in the room during the actual delivery but I wanted the pictures for memory sake. She will be getting me the pictures shortly so for now here are the ones that we took of our stay at the hospital.
First bath

WE ARE HOME....yay! I can't even describe how excited the kids were to meet their new baby sister. Least to say it was constant asking of is it my turn to hold her, can I feed her, etc. The kids were on cloud nine.
SUPER EXCITED!
I don't know who snapped this picture but here is the proud daddy!
This little girl can eat. She is already wanting to eat 3oz so we are having to supplement with formula. Kennady doesn't mind though and is always wanting to feed Sydnee. She has been a huge help and she loves it. She will just sit and stare at her while she is sleeping.

I could hold her all day! I forgot how precious they are
My sister was scheduled on Monday the 16th for her c-section so we were both in the hospital at the sametime. It was fun being able to go visit with her even though we were both in some pain. The little cousins were born 10 hours apart and were 10 oz off on weight. Here is Sydnee and Eliza.....so cute!

40 weeks
Today was my last doctors visit....whut whut! I am now a little over 40 weeks and still no baby. The doctor mentioned starting me but I felt like I wanted to try and just go on my own. Today though with still no baby and her measuring a little over 8lbs, we finally have a day set. We are set for Sunday the 15th at 7am and I am so ready to have our little baby girl here.
This has been the hardest pregnancy of them all, I'm not sure if age has something to do with it but it has definitely taken it's toll on my body. I have been sick the entire time, up until about a week or so ago, I have swollen up like a ump lumpa, gained 55lbs.....ugghhh! Not sure how that happened with me being so sick and eating the healthiest with this pregnancy but it is what it is and I'm not far off of what I weighed with the twins...YIKES! And last I am just physically and emotionally exhausted. Hooray for Sunday :) I tried to get scheduled for Monday the 16th so my sister and I could have our baby girls the same day (thought it would be kind of fun) but the doctor couldn't do it that day. At least we will be able to go and see each other while we are recovering in the hospital.
Here is the final pictures of my hideous swollen feet and legs and proof of my 55lb weight gain.
YAY there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait to see our baby girl and start to feel like myself again.

A little fun/ New Years Eve
After Christmas was over we decided it would be fun to get the whole family roller blades. Aaron went crazy getting them and is way excited to have this a new family activity. The kids were dying to go to the Kangaroo Zoo so we went there with some cousins and a few friends then came back to the house for some fun. The kids switched off between roller blading, riding bikes and the rip sticks, and throwing the football in the front yard. Logan was getting comfortable enough to try and go over the ramps. He did really good.
The next day was New Years Eve and we spent the night hanging out at Aaron's sisters house with all his siblings. She went through alot of work to make it a fun and enjoyable evening. We ate lots of yummy food, watched a little TV, and played lots of dance 3 on the wii. The kids and even the adults were having fun trying to beat each other. We lasted until midnight, watched the ball in NYC drop on TV, and we called it a night. The kids were so delirious on the way home they just cried and cried about stupid stuff. (his arm is touching me, don't look at me, your crying to loud, etc. What a way to ring in the new year :) As of now my goal for the new year is to feel like myself again, and hopefully get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

December doings
Where did December go? I got a text from my sister saying I needed to update my blog....it hadn't even crossed my mind that I havn't posted anything that we have done in December. I have been lazy in my picture taking, which I am sad about, so hopefully me just journaling some events won't bore ya to much.
DECEMBER 2ND
Earlier this year the Stewart girls tried to plan a girls weekend but we were never able to get together. We decided to make it just a girls night out so we had dinner at the Greenery and headed to see The Forgotten Carols. The show was amazing and I think we all at one time felt the spirit and had a few tears. We don't get together to often so it was fun being all together. Wished I didn't look like a fat cow :)
We had gone for a drive one night and asked the kids what their favorite thing about christmas was this year and Wyatt was first to say, spending time with you daddy :) Logan and Kennady also agreed. It was a great Christmas break.
CHRISTMAS EVE:
This year just our little family stayed home and hung out. We always have them open one gift and so this year we had them open their gifts from airplane Grandpa. He was in Colorado so we turned skipe on and let him watch the kids open their gifts from him. The main gift he got our family this year was a Yonanas machine. It makes a soft serve ice cream from bananas and whatever other fruits you want to do. We tried it out that night and it was really really good. It's healthy for ya too which is a plus.
We finally got the kids settled in bed and Wyatt and Kennady were fast asleep as Logan was constantly getting up either blowing his nose, getting a drink, or going potty. Santa had a later night than expected :)
CHRISTMAS DAY:
Merry Christmas! This year with Christmas being on Sunday we got to break up the day and spend an hour in Sacrament meeting. I thought it was going to be a little bit of a pain trying to get kids away from playing with their toys to go sit in church but they got ready without a fight. I actually enjoyed being able to sit in sacrament and reflect on the true meaning of christmas and our Savior. It made Christmas a little more special this year.
Here's a few pictures of the rest of the day.
Wyatt got a city lego set, his thundercat sword, and a boxing game. He was super excited.
Every year my dad has fun getting all the kids the same gift. Here they all are getting ready to open Grandpa's gifts.
What did they get? Matching beanies
I never usually get pictures of what we get our mom and dad but I happened to get them this year. My mom has been in desperate need of a new vacuum for years. She has vacuum hoses and the handle duct taped to keep things together. (probably my dad's doing because he doesn't get rid of anything) so we were a little surprised when he mentioned she needed a new one. With dad's help us kids pitched in and finally got her a new vacuum. YAY! I think she liked it.
Dad on the other hand is hard to buy for. This year though I think we did alright. With him being so darn skinny he is always freezing so we got him some hot chili's to go under his work clothes and my sister found him his all time favorite cologne.....Elsha. I can't believe that stuff is still around, thank you Harmons!

CHRISTMAS BREAK!
Oh how the kids were counting down the days to get out of school. For them it couldn't come fast enough. They had fun playing with friends and having a few sleep overs. Every year over the christmas break Grandma Stewart has the grandkids over for a sleepover. One night she has all the girls and the next night she has all the boys. The kids LOVE it!!!! Not only did they sleep over at Grandmas but they had a few sleepovers with the cousins either at our house or theirs. It's usually the only time they get to have sleepovers so it is a highlight for them.
We had alot of activities written down that the kids wanted to do over the break and even though we only did a few of them we mostly stayed at home and just spent every minute playing games, etc. with the kids, as well as getting things ready for the new baby. Aaron had the whole week off and I loved being able to spend time with them before our new little one arrives. Aaron spent most of the time with the kids so I could rest and prop up my HUGE ACHING FEET. It brought tears to my eyes to see him enjoying that time with them. I know he had alot of things that he wanted to get done around the house and out in his shop but he put those aside and I'm so thankful of how wonderful of a dad and husband he is. We had gone for a drive one night and asked the kids what their favorite thing about christmas was this year and Wyatt was first to say, spending time with you daddy :) Logan and Kennady also agreed. Kennady got rollerblades which just made the day, a dance game for the wii, and she loves playing legos with the boys so santa brought her own house lego set.
Logan got a few Lego kingdom sets....he LOVES playing and building legos, a bmx bike, and a fox hat he has been wanting.
Who's the excited one in this picture? Santa brought the family a new game for the xbox. It's called skylanders and you actually have your own character that you place on a pad and it recognizes your character and they each have their own powers. Dad was sssooooooo excited! The kids had alot of fun picking their characters and playing it later that night.
Kennady was so excited to try out her new rollerblades and luckily their wasn't any snow on the ground so she put them on and off she went. She did really good for her first time out on them.
Grandma Herrick's house later that night:
