Kennady's halloween fieldtrip

Today was Kennady's halloween fieldtrip for her preschool. We started at the school and walked to a near by pumpkin farm.  When we got there we were able to meet the pumpkin man.  Some kids liked him and thought he was pretty neat and Kennady and a few others were a little frightened by him.  He took them back to where they were able to pick a pumpkin to take home with them and had a few tricks to show.  The kids loved it.  We then were able to get pictures with him and play around the farm.  After we got back to the school they had story time about the color orange, had some snacks and began carving some big pumpkins that Ms. Jill got from the pumpkin man. They all had a great time!

Kennady was a little frightened by the pumpkin man so I had to join in the picture.  Wyatt loved going on the fieldtrip with Kennady and HAD to wear his transformer costume.

Kennady loves cats and dogs so when she saw some baby kittens there she was dying to hold one.  She said holding the cat was the best thing about the fieldtrip.  She wants to go back and hold them again.

Cutie!

We went to my sisters the other day for some family haircuts.  Kennady decided she wanted to go short so Jenna gave her a cute little bob.  She was flipping her head side to side as she walked around the house waiting for me to be done.  We knew she loved the new hairdo!  The next day we were off to find her some cute little head bands.  Part of me misses her long hair but she looks so cute:)

The next step now is getting her ears pierced....shhh daddy can't know!

Why wear sunscreen?

So this is one of the not so great things that have happened to me lately. About 3 months ago I found out that I had skin cancer on my face. LOVELY! Here are a few pictures on the day of my surgery. I hope this will be a reminder to us all to load up on the sunscreen! :) I left the really grose pictures out. It was not a fun day!!!

The skin cancer is that LITTLE red spot on my left cheek bone

This is the final result after going back three times to cut the cancer all out. Not sure why I am smiling cuz I wasn't to happy how big it ended up being. Oh and the fact that they didn't put me out-nothing like smelling your face burning!

Being to where the hole was big enough the plastic surgeon couldn't just sew it up in a nice pretty line. They had to do what is called a "flap" and cut even more of my face. WHATEVER! So this was the end result. We were finally done!

Twins 5th birthday

I can't believe that Wyatt and Kennady turned 5 years old on the 19th.  It seems like yesterday that they were tiny babies. I look back and vividly remember me sitting in the middle of the floor just crying from feeling overwhelmed with two babies and of course the lack of sleep I got every night. I feel like we have just tried to survive these past 4-5 years with them, but wouldn't change anything. They are so much fun!  I still like to call them the twins mostly as a reminder to me of how blessed we are to have them here-it wasn't easy! Here are some pictures to capture their day.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY WYATT AND KENNADY!

Wyatt was so excited for his birthday.  He loved the movie "how to train a dragon" so of course that's what his birthday was all about...DRAGONS. He was so excited to get the armor that the little boy wore in the movie.  He was so cute running around the house in his armor trying to fight dragons -AKA Logan and Kennady. He had many gifts given to him by family members later that day and loved them all. They included: a dragon shirt with night fury on it, a pillow pet, a play motorcycle and some treats, a new soccer ball, some motorcycle rain boots, a dragon board game and many more. He was one happy dude at the end of the day!

Kennady was just as excited as Wyatt. She is so funny though. She loves girly stuff but likes her doggies more.  So for her birthday she picked out a barbie banner and her cake was "bolt" the dog. I know she would of loved to get a dog for her birthday but she knows she can't have one since she is allergic to them. :(
She was excited however when she opened one of her presents and saw that it was play makeup. One of her favorite things to do with her cousin sammy is put makeup on each other. She also loved getting a Zu Zu cage for her Zu Zu pets to live in. She had a great time later that night playing with all the other gifts that were given to her. They included: sparkly lipglosses, treats, princess necklace, pillow pet, soccer ball, drawing kit, and much more. Her favorite gift though was from her brother Logan which was a set of 3 white puppies that she got to paint and decorate herself.

Here are the yummy cakes. Maybe one day I will be an awesome mom and make them the best cake ever. lol! I remember my mom always decorating our cakes when we were little and I loved it so maybe that will have to be a new goal of mine...one day!

So I asked the twins what their favorite thing about their birthday was.  Wyatt said his birthday cake was cool and Kennady's favorite thing was playing with all the balloons. It was a great and fun day. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts and sharing this special day with them.

Baptism Day!

WOW! I can't believe that my oldest is already 8 years old. Today turned out to be a great day(except for the fact that I could barely hold it together from the time I woke up.) Logan was so excited for this day to come and yet you could see that he was a little nervous too. Here is a short outline of how the program went: I was first to get up and do the spotlight on Logan. I'm not sure why they have the mother do this-I was already crying and we all know what we look like when we cry (NOT PRETTY!) but I was able to pull it together. Grandma Herrick gave the talk on Baptism and Grandma Stewart gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. Both did an amazing job! The baptism and confirmation was done by Aaron. He cried as well:) I am so grateful that he holds the priesthood- it was an overwhelming feeling to watch him baptize Logan. The witnesses were his Grandpa Herrick and Grandpa Stewart and to bring the program to a wonderful end Logan's great Grandpa; Patriarch LeRoy Herrick gave the closing prayer.

Here is most of all the family members who came to share this great day with us. We did miss Aunt Krisa, and cousins Kaden, Reed, and Eliza who weren't able to be there.

Afterwards we all went back to the house and ate great food and just hung out. We blew up our waterslide and let the kids cool off. Aaron with his wonderful ideas got out the 4-wheeler and pulled the kids around on our old trampoline mat in the sprinklers. The kids had a blast and even Logan's friend Max said that it was better than going to Lagoon.

The greatest Grandpa around!!!!!

baptism pictures

Here are a few pics of Logan at the Ogden Temple. His aunt Amy took them for us and we are so glad that she was able to capture some good memories for us. He wasn't to thrilled about having them taken but what 8yr old is?

What a handsome guy! My favorite picture of them all was him sitting reading his scriptures. He is such a great example to wyatt & kennady.
