Hike to Waterfall Canyon

This past weekend Aaron and I thought it would be fun to take the kids for a little hike.  They had never been on one before and we weren't quite sure how they would do but we were going to give it a try anyway.  We decided to give waterfall canyon a go even if we didn't make it to the top.  To mine and Aaron's surprise the kids had a blast and didn't complain at all.  Kennady had mentioned her legs were getting tired but said she could keep going.  With just a few stops for a water break and me to catch my breath, we all made it to the waterfall and the kids thought it was the greatest thing to see.  The kids played in the water and we had a few snacks to munch on.  It was a pleasant adventure and we are excited to scout out where our next hike is going to be.

What a big mama! Gotta love the pregnancy weight :(

Here's proof that my big pregnant self made it to the top!  (slowly but surely)

As we were munching on some snacks I happened to turn around and Wyatt had his shirt off and was doing some of his ladies moves.  He likes to slowly move his hips in a circle....it was funny to watch.  Logan decided he also wanted to join in on the fun.

                                                         Our little poser!

We headed back down the mountain before it got too dark and Kennady thought she was tough enough to carry the backpack.  She did good for quite awhile.  The boys had fun running up ahead of us and trying to scare us.  It was a fun night out with the family!

Kangaroo Zoo

The kids happened to be going crazy at home so I decided to venture out and take them to the Kangaroo Zoo.  This place opened up about a month ago and we had never been there so I thought it would be fun to try something new.  Needless to say the kids had a hay day and was non stop running around for 2 1/2 hrs straight.  They were all sweaty little stinkers by the time we went home.  They loved it!  Oh and I sat on my fat but and started to read my new book "The Help"......the book was great so far and I loved being able to relax and know my kids were happy as can be. :)  Here are a few pics of the day.

This was Logan going down the big slide.  All the kids couldn't get enough of it.

We were glad that Logan's friend Gavin was able to come along!

I think someone was a little worn out :)

It had been such a great day until this happened.  I won't go into details but there was an older kid who I wanted to literally ring his neck.  This was the second time he "accidentally" hurt Wyatt.  I heard the awful loud hurt cry and by the time I got to Wyatt this is what I saw.  POOR KID!!!!

A couple days later he still has a goose ache and two black eyes

Happy 4th of July!

This year we decided to skip our Farr West parade and celebration and head to West Weber to celebrate with my siblings and their families.  West Weber was very low key and not very crowded....which I loved!  They served free breakfast and the parade was just the kids.  There were about 20 kids who decorated their bikes and did a little bike parade.  My nephew Ethan and one other boy who were determined to win, missed the route and ended up taking everyone on a little detour.  They all ended up back at the finish though and thought it was great.  The kids then gathered in the park to get ready for the canon launch, which shoots out candy and water balloons. They each had their own bag and ran frantically to gather as much candy as possible.  What kid doesn't love a bunch of candy practically being thrown at them....the kids thought it was great!  We then took the kids to see Cars 2 at the theater and headed back to the house to relax before we had to head out again.
Later in the day Aaron's family all got together for a BBQ, swimming, games, and fireworks.  Our niece's baptism was on the 3rd so all of Aaron's family was all in town.  It's not very often that everyone is together so the cousins were having a great time and it was nice to spend time with those who live out of town.  Here's the pictures of our fun filled afternoon.

Here is my cute little niece Ella who lives in Colorado, and the jump that Aaron and Uncle Mike set up for the bigger kids.  By the end all of them had a few boo boos.

Uncle Doug and baby Ryan even had a little fun themselves!

The first picture of everyone together in a very long time.

Both Grandma's got out the jump rope and what started with the little kids having fun turned into everyone having fun.  It ended up being a game.

swimming lessons- Logan

Logan loves to go to swimming lessons and I think it's more the fact that after class they get free time to do whatever they want.  His favorite thing is to do front flips off the diving board and then dive and get rings off the bottom of the pool.  He is a great swimmer and catches on quickly.  He made sure that I brought the camera so I could get pictures and video of him doing his front flips to show dad.

Here he is doing one of his many front flips during free time.

New laundry room

Aaron and I have been wanting to extend the laundry room for quite some time and we finally got around to getting it done.  It is amazing what just an extra 3ft can do.  It was a little bit of a process but finally after 2 weeks I finally had my washer and dryer back.  I forget how lucky and blessed I am and how much I take things for granted.  I was almost lost not being able to do wash when I wanted to.  It was a huge pain to take the laundry to my mom's and sit there for most of the day to just get caught up on laundry.  I LOVE my new laundry room and feel like I can move and breathe in it.  Before we had the washer and dryer stacked and every time I would pull laundry out I would either hit the coat rack behind me or hit my head somewhere.  I thought I had taken a picture before we knocked out the wall but I guess I forgot.  But here is the final result of my new space.

I couldn't get a good enough picture of how much more room I have but where the front of the washer and dryer are is where the wall used to be.  We still have to get the cupboards in but as for right now I am just glad to have it pretty much done.  I've never been so excited to do laundry:)

Wyatt- (T-ball)

This was Wyatt's first year starting T-ball.  He was so excited to play and thought he was such a big boy.  This age is always fun to watch but we definitely had our laughs with watching him, as well as everyone else getting a kick out of him also.  He was quite the little character and hardly ever payed attention unless it was his turn to bat.  When he was in the outfield he was wrestling his team mates, caring less where the ball was or what was going on.  Or he was driving his coach crazy by hanging on him or trying to just chat with him.  So after a few games of his "funniness" the next game I had a chat with him before it started and told him no wrestling and to try and get the ball.  Well it turned out that they played an all girls team so instead of wrestling he was standing on second base chatting with all the little girls that came his way.  He was quite the ladies man!  He did pretty well the rest of the games and did very well at batting.  We just need to work on his running.  To be his funny self he would stick his chest out and tuck his arms up into his arm pits and run or he would run slower and talk to himself.  He is quite the character and was fun to watch.

Boating

This past weekend Aaron's sister invited us to go boating with them to Willard Bay.  I wasn't feeling well again and really wasn't wanting to go but I have been sick so much that my kids were dying to get out of the house, as well as myself.  Aaron could of handled them but I really felt like I needed to be with my family so I packed up some lunches and we ventured off.  It ended up being a good day and the kids had a great time as usual.  They always love jumping off the back of the boat and Logan and Kennady can't get enough of the big tube.  Wyatt on the other hand doesn't like to go fast and had to have Aaron ride with him.
We actually got a good laugh in for the day- here is what happened:  Aaron got his life jacket on and was ready to get on the tube with Wyatt.  Well as soon as Aaron went to jump on the tube it had moved a little bit so when Aaron landed on the tube he was to close to the edge and ended up rolling backwards into the water, hat and all.  It was almost a slow motion effect and was pretty hilarious, at least we thought it was.  He wasn't to thrilled with how chilly the water was and the fact that he wasn't expecting to get wet.  We kept laughing about it later on as well.  We docked the boat at the beach, ate our lunch, let the kids swim some more and ended the day with one last tube ride.
