The living planet Aquarium

With the house being torn up from the flood and it being the last day of spring break, I thought it would be good to get the kids out of the house for most of the day.  We decided to go to south Salt Lake to the planet Aquarium.  The kids had heard that they now had penguins there and Logan was excited to see and pet the sting rays.  The kids had a great time and they stayed until their tummies were hungry enough that they wanted to get some lunch.  They all had chosen Artic Circle and ended the fun with the playground there.  It was a great day!

We decided to take a few friends along with us.  (Ty & Riley)

Kennady was petrified of the sharks and were scared they would somehow hurt her.  After the 3rd time back to the sharks she let me get a picture of her as the shark swam by.

I enjoyed watching the kids read and learn about the different kinds of fish, frogs, crabs, etc.  They really enjoyed it and it was worth the long drive to have them explore than be home wanting to play video games or watch TV.  Logan's favorite part was petting the sting rays and Wyatt finally ended up doing it to.  Kennady wouldn't do it of course and I once again had to bribe Kennady to at least touch a star fish.  Why is she so timid?  Or maybe she is smart enough to know that she would rather have the money (from the bribe) to put on her Toads card.  I wanted to get one picture of all of us but in return the kids were wanting lots more than one.  So here they all are posing.
